Just read a comment on another friends post, about the boy from Rye who had been missing, that said “Now that he is home safe I hope his parents beat his ass.”

What the fuck?! Beating a kid’s ass is NEVER justified. What if he left because they were already “beating his ass” (mentally OR physically)? Why is it almost always assumed that HOME = SAFE?

I am glad the kid is ALIVE. I hope he feels safe and supported in life and through the aftermath of the publicity that occurred as a result of decisions he made based on things I have zero information about and that is none of my beeswax.

And I don’t give a shit if he left because he is 15 and hormonal and a pain in the butt and he just wanted to party. 

He doesn’t deserve to have his ass beat. No one does.
